Mill Description

The mill is located close to the Medieval church of Agios Dimitrianos, dating in the 13th century. When the mill closed in 1950, it was abandoned and slowly fell into disrepair.The surviving buildings of the mill include the stone built aqueduct, in the form of a feeder channel, interrupted by arches, which has been restored from the Idalion Municipality and two auxiliary rooms. In 2002 it was declared by the Cyprus Department of Antiquities as an Ancient Monument of B Schedule and between 2007 and 2010 conservation works were carried out by the Department of Antiquities and the Municipality of Idalion.
