Mill Description
The penstock is built in five stepped tiers of roughly coursed rubble masonry. Both penstock and aqueduct are faced in white plaster, given texture by some of the blocks showing through in visible courses. A relatively narrow circular shaft with a metal grid leads down from a square chamber (95cm deep) at the top of the penstock. The turbine room is built of roughly coursed rubble masonry with an arched opening and a spout to direct the water from the shaft onto the turbine wheel. Sevina Floridou, 2002.
